The FairCharge campaign welcomes the long-awaited launch of the ZEV mandate consultation by the Government today. The proposed ZEV mandate will set targets for a percentage of manufacturers' new car and van sales to be zero emission each year from 2024. The consultation is seeking views on the potential design features of the mandate including targets, regulation and enforcement.
Campaign spokesperson, Quentin Willson, says:
"It's great to see the Government’s ZEV mandate consultation announced at last. We look forward to responding for the EV community and all drivers who want a fair, affordable and convenient transition to electric cars."
